My deepest thanks to everyone who made this project possible: our amazing donors, our incredible team of volunteers, all the Indonesian NGOs who helped facilitate these interviews, and all the individuals whose stories have informed this project and are captured in this film.  Most of all, I’d like to thank Paul Shirley, editor for this project, who has spent countless hours perfecting the way we delve into this important issue.

This film took quite a while to produce and release due to technical and financial challenges, but I’m quite pleased with the final result, and I hope it will really support the programming of the amazing NGOs working on the social and environmental solutions to palm oil’s impacts.

This film is dedicated in Lucy Wisdom, the Founding Director of The Sumatran Orangutan Society, who passed away just a couple months ago after a valiant battle with cancer.  She was the reason I initially came to Indonesia to work on environmental issues, and her dedication to her mission to protect orangutans and their habitat was truly inspiring.  I am forever thankful to her for introducing me to the issues detailed in this film, and for showing me that there are no limits to what we can do when we follow our convictions.
