Terms of use for photos
The copyright of photographs is held by the Photographer, with The Paradigm Shift Project (PSP) holding rights to use and distribute for NGO purposes photographs created by the Photographer while on assignment. Photographs may not be used without explicitly granted permission by the Photographer or PSP.
Image licensing is available free of charge to NGOs seeking images for same-context applications. For such usage please contact PSP or the Photographer.
For other licensing purposes please contact the Photographer.
Photographs must not be cropped or manipulated
and must be used as provided by PSP or the Photographer, unless other rights are explicitly granted. A credit line must accompany any photograph used with permission, and must read:
© [Photographer Name]/The Paradigm Shift Project
Due to the documentary nature of the photography, whereby the photographer is documenting the world around them, efforts are made to obtain a model release, however, circumstances may not always lend themselves to obtaining such releases.
Unless specified by the Photographer or PSP in writing, no model releases were obtained. The licensee is responsible for clearing all necessary permissions from third parties, be they people, buildings, art, art animals, which may include trademarks, personality rights, property rights, fine art rights, etc. The licensee shall indemnify and hold the Photographer and PSP harmless against any and all claims, liability, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees and expenses) arising out of the use of any image for which:
(a) no release was furnished by the Photographer or PSP in writing.
(b) the use of any image exceeds the scope of the release provided by the Photographer or PSP.
